So we all knew that a firmware update for the 5D Mark II was eminent…
With all of the new DSLR technology coming, it was only logical that Canon would upgrade their most popular camera. But I don’t think anyone expected to get this…

hi guys, yeah, fantastic news, ive been spoending way too much time online trying to figure this out, the photo linked to this page is apparently actually from the 1d, if you watch the doco on youtube (just type in createasphere tim smith canon and you’ll find it) the most important bit is at 5 minutes in, he mentions the 24p aspect that is most asked for by 5d users, then he kind of ends the sentence and it gets jumbled and messy, unclear that he is still talking about the 5d and could be talking about the 7d and or 1d… see it for yourself, its very confusing, plus all canon have mentioned at this point re. press releases is 24p… please please canon release the power within and give us 60p!

canon controls the shooter market by making newer models with upgrades, rather than improve the existing model that, aside from a new sensor or chip, can handle the work. pros that have the clout to drop cash on new tech leave the secondary market of shooters limited to old technology.

Not quite on the 60p. T2i can always suffice as a secondary for 60.
